Job Description WSP, an award-winning and innovative multi-disciplinary engineering consulting firm, actively seeks a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineerfor our growing water engineering practice in our Pittsburgh, PA office and the northeast region. This is an opportunity for an individual with an interest in technical work to grow and learn as part of a renowned, highly qualified team of professionals working in a great environment and applying the latest technology to a wide variety of water engineering projects. This position will encompass numerous aspects of water engineering services with an emphasis on water distribution, wastewater, storm water, and green infrastructure. The position includes providing engineering services for local water distribution and wastewater clients, providing project management services for local clients, developing design documents including drawings and specifications, and our business development efforts. The position may also consist of supporting other WSP offices in the northeast region. Candidates will be working with state agencies, private clients, and local governments to provide a wide variety of water/wastewater engineering support. Duties and Responsibilities: The candidate will serve as Water/Wastewater Engineer on a variety of projects. Work responsibilities may include: Providing engineering services associated with the replacement and/or rehabilitation of water and wastewater lines, distribution facilities, pump stations, and other associated water facilities. Producing design calculations, design drawings and specification, and bid documents. Performing field visits and site reconnaissance as dictated by the project requirements. Developing quantity take-offs, engineering cost estimates, and permit applications for water/wastewater projects. Serving as Project Manager for water/wastewater projects which will consist of communicating and meeting with client projectmanagers, and managing budgets, schedules, WSP staff, and subconsultants and/or subcontractors. Drafting reports and providing technical support on a variety of water/wastewater projects. Supporting proposal development and business development on a variety of water-related as well as interdisciplinary projects and attending conferences and seminars. Promoting water/wastewater project capabilities by presenting at various conferences, seminars and prospective clients. Domestic and international travel, when necessary. Job Requirements Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (Master's Degree is a plus) in Civil Engineering. Professional engineer licensure in Pennsylvania is required. PMP certification is a plus. 5+ years of relevant work experience in the field of water/wastewater engineering. Collaboration is a pillar of WSP's culture. Striving in a highly collaborative work environment is necessary. Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, including watershed delineations, rainfall-runoff modeling, and open channel flow is a plus. Proven experience with ArcGIS is a plus. Relevant project experience through the entire project cycle, from design through construction closeout is necessary. Proficiency in AutoCAD is a plus. Must demonstrate strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task, prioritize, take direction, and provide direction to others ensuring the quality of deliverables. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Salary Range: NAMinimum Qualification5 - 7 years
