Reporting to the Vice President of Operations Human Resources and working closely with other members of the manufacturing Sr. leadership team, the Operations Trainer(s) will be responsible for driving training solutions for assigned Wastequip manufacturing sites. This individual(s) will play a key role in the delivery of onboarding and new employee training, developing and delivering training on process standard work, on-the-job training, environmental, health, and safety (EHS) training, and other targeted training solutions to develop employee job skills, change or establish new work processes, and/or improve employee performance.
Major Responsibilities Onboarding: Participate in and/or coordinate shop-floor job applicant interviews and skills demonstrations; coordinate and deliver Day 1 @ Wastequip new employee training; monitor the onboarding process and intervene as needed to ensure adherence to the established process and make recommendations for improvements Safety Training: Ensure that all employees have completed required safety training; deliver weekly standup safety refreshers; deliver forklift certification training/retraining; participate in other safety activities as needed Process Training: Work closely with manufacturing engineers, area supervisors, and the Operations Excellence team to develop standard work; ensure that all on-the-job training adheres to established standard work; lead and/or participate on root cause analysis teams as a Subject-Matter-Expert (SME) to understand and resolve process interruptions; Coaching: Coach employees daily to develop and/or maintain their performance to improve the work of the employee, the team, and the department Documentation & Reporting: Ensure that all training is documented properly; complete periodic reports as needed; continually follow up with employees, supervisors and managers to ensure the effectiveness of training; update/revise training documents as needed

Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent 5 years shop-floor manufacturing experience required; preference given to candidates with demonstrated MIG welding and/or production painting knowledge Experience leading employees and delivering on-the-job training highly preferred Bilingual with above average communication skills using both Spanish and English is a plus.
