Typical duties will include but not be limited to:
-Preparation and/or modification of Electrical drawings, specifications, calculations, charts and graphs as it relates to Industrial related projects. Typical projects include General Manufacturing, Food and Beverage, and Energy related projects.
-Developing innovative problem-solving techniques and service offerings to meet the needs of our clients
-Project controls, cost estimates, quantity takeoffs and manpower requirements for proposals, forecasts and change orders
-Developing a team of collaborative, highly engaged engineers and designers
-Leading design work and QA/QC of plan sets, scopes of work, and specifications
-Client communication and coordination
-Supporting Sales and Business Development for the Market Sector and Core Service Leaders
-Project Hazard Analysis to provide a safe work environment for the engineering team
Typical Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
-Requires a broad knowledge of precedents in the specialty area and a solid knowledge of principles and practices of related technical areas
-Requires a broad knowledge of the application of engineering to plant constructability as applied to construction methods and materials, and the economics involved
-Performs assignments independently with instruction as to the general results expected and with guidance from Project Manager or Core Service Leader on unusual or complex problems
-Travel to project sites throughout the United States
-Provides technical direction, career mentorship, and on-the-job training to Drafters, Designers, and less experienced Engineers
-Assigns and coordinates work to Drafters, Designers, and Engineers
-Assume the lead engineer's role on assigned projects
-Serve as Project Engineer and Client point of contact on smaller, less complex projects
-Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate program of assigned engineering work and projects
-Assist in selection of discipline personnel assigned to projects
-Ensure proper interdisciplinary coordination and effective communication on projects
-Analyze reports, maps, drawings, tests, and other data to plan and design work
-Assemble bid, approval, and construction issue drawing packages
Review bid analyses and make recommendations
-Experience: Bachelor of Science degree in an electrical engineering or scientific discipline, and 10+ years of experience with advance knowledge in electrical engineering, obtainable usually through a combination of experience and continuing education; or
-Master of Science degree in an engineering or scientific discipline, and 5+ years of experience with advanced technical knowledge in electrical engineering, obtainable usually through a combination of experience and continuing education; or
-Equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Skills and Special Requirements:
-Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit
-Electrical analysis software - Experience with ETAP and/or SKM including Arc Flash, Short-Circuit, PD Coordination, Power Quality and Harmonic Analysis
-Direct experience in coordinating electrical design across Architectural and Engineering (Mechanical, HVAC, P/FP, Structural) disciplines
-Licensed P.E. in Pennsylvania or ability to gain reciprocity or ability to obtain P.E. in near future. Licensure is required to perform the functions of this position.
-Experience with low and medium voltage applications, switchgear, MCC s, utility coordination, lightning protection and protection relays
-Leadership and strong communication skills are essential to the success of this position
-Substation experience is a big plus
-Knowledgeable in National Fire Protection Association/National Electrical Code (NFPA/NEC) Standards, Standards Associations including AGA, ANSI/NEMA, IEEE, API,
-Knowledge of and experience interacting with regulatory agencies including FDA and USDA preferred.
