  • JOB SUMMARY Performs general cleaning and floor care to all areas of the facility and Professional Building. Responsible for keeping clean linen stocked, anticipating the needs of the departments, and removal of soiled linen containers. Collects and transports trash and medical waste to appropriate disposal areas. All duties are designed to ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable experience for our guests and employees.

  • ACCOUNTABILITIES ESSENTIAL Performs routine cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting and lobby area's, lounge and restroom's, corridors, elevators and stairways using standardized procedures, to ensure patient and staff safety. Performs discharge cleaning of patient rooms as they occur using standardized procedures to optimize efficient use of space and resources. Performs periodic detail cleaning duties in assigned areas following established schedules and using standardized procedures, to assist in the providing a superior environment. Utilizes the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to standardized procedures, to ensure the safety and effectiveness of sanitizing the facility. Follows all safety procedures in regards to mixing chemicals, proper body mechanics, disposing of hazardous wastes and utilizing BSI when performing tasks. Uses and maintains supplies and equipment in an effective and efficient manner, with regard to stewardship. Observes and reports damages to the facility, fixtures, furniture and/or equipment, while considering the overall appearance and integrity of the facility. Cleans emergency spills as observed or requested to ensure safety. Follows all infection control practices, including hand washing techniques, standardprecautions and isolation procedures, with regard to personal and public safety. Communicates well with other team members in order to foster professional working relationships. Completes work assignment by end of scheduled shift while considering stewardship. Exhibits willingness to understand, follow and promote the hospital's mission, vision, values, philosophy and objectives. Demonstrates the ability to positively interact with persons of different ethnic, spiritual, moral and cultural beliefs, while treating all people courteously, fairly and with dignity. Ensures confidentiality of all patient information. Exhibits willingness to assist team members with their duties and responsibilities in order to foster a cohesive working environment. OTHER Performs other duties as assigned to meet the organization`s needs.
