The Analysis Lead will be accountable for the delivery of analyses for large mechanical development projects.
ACCOUNTABILITY / KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Schedule resources to perform analysis tasks according to priority and availability Work with proposal leaders to develop scope of work and estimate resource needs Provides direct support to projects as an individual contributor either by performing analysis or by providing technical guidance or project oversight Provide technical review of work performed by other analysts including editing and approval of technical reports before release Identify skill set requirements and gaps for Analysis and Simulation group and provide appropriate training for staff Identify and direct continuous improvement activities including the development of new analysis capabilities and efficiency improvements of existing analysis procedures Prepares detailed technical presentations for both internal and client project engineering review Performs other job-related duties as assigned
MUST HAVE A MS degree in Mechanical and/or Aerospace Engineering or a MS degree in Engineering Mechanics Demonstrable expertise in at least one physics area (e.g. thermal-fluids, structural and multi-body dynamics) and basic competency in the other areas 10 years of professional experience as a CAE analyst performing engine, transmission or vehicle related simulations using state-of-the-art analysis tools, e.g., GT-Power, Star-CCM, Abaqus, Ansys, etc 5 years of professional experience managing others Good interpersonal and communication skills Professional development in the area of leadership, supervision and program management Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, and Power Point
SHOULD HAVE Experience with some commercial CAD packages (e.g., Creo, NX, SolidWorks, etc.) Experience with Ricardo Software: WAVE, VECTIS, VALDYN, ENGDYN, and SABR
