Performs duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager, Supervisor or their designee.
Assists Maintenance Mechanics in performing preventative maintenance on equipment to maintain it in good working condition.
Assists Maintenance Mechanics in performing major equipment overhauls.
Assists Maintenance Mechanics in repairing and maintaining plant equipment (HVAC/R).
Assists in handling maintenance emergencies as required.
Maintains records in accordance with work order, backlog, control and job assignment systems.
Completes duties in accordance with quality assurance, GMPs, safety and other company programs and procedures, and in accordance with government codes and regulations.
Maintains clean, organized and safe work area, including wiping and washing equipment and tools; sweeping and mopping floors; and trash removal.
May travel to various locations to purchase parts, attend training or for other duties.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Profile of job holder:
Must have High School diploma or GED. Knowledge of basic mechanical repair. Experience in using hand and power tools.
Ability to read and interpret work orders, operating manuals and maintenance instructions. Ability to complete forms detailing maintenance work performed. Bilingual English-Spanish.
Requires valid drivers license.
