Ouremployees are not only part of history, they re making history.Northrop Grumman AerospaceSystems Sector is seeking a section manager (SM) for Space Electrical Power Subsystems(EPS) (including Photovoltaic and Battery Engineering) to join our team ofqualified, diverse individuals.As the Space EPS SM reporting tothe Department Manager of Vehicle Integration Electrical Design within theVehicle Integration and Subsystems (VI&S) Center of Excellence, up to 20%of the SM s time will be spent performing leadership, people management, andsupervisory duties such as management of personnel (direction & coaching),program/project reviews, coordination of job assignments, staffing, recruiting,timecard approval, performance reviews, and process improvement activities. Inaddition, the individual will support business development activities, proposals,and design reviews in support of the section. The balance of the SM s time(80%+) will be spent providing engineering support to various space vehicleprograms located or based out of Redondo Beach, CA.Qualifications Basic Qualifications:Bachelor of Science degree inElectrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Engineering and/or technicaldegree in STEM (Science, Technology,Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited universitywith 5 years of experience in the Aerospace Engineering Field; ORMasters of Science degree in ElectricalEngineering, Physics,Computer Engineering and/or technical degree in STEM(Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from anaccredited university with 7 years of experience in the AerospaceEngineering FieldAbility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance at SCI or TS/SSBI clearancePreferred Qualifications:Active SCI or TS/SSBI clearancePrior engineering team lead experiencePrevious experience with space vehicle electrical powersubsystems, space photovoltaic and battery engineeringNorthrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
