Work with a team of designers and drafters to complete detailed electrical installation drawing packages for medium and low voltage systems.
Perform electrical analyses, including but not limited to arc flash, load flow, fault current, protective device coordination, grounding, and motor starting.
Interpret and develop one-line diagrams, cable schedules, area classification, schematics, and electrical details.
Design medium-voltage protective relaying systems including programming protective relays including SEL and Multilin.
Develop and execute equipment testing procedures requiring interpretation of relay logic diagrams, electrical schematics and protective relay programs.
Evaluate and interpret client and industry standards and specifications for application to design.
Coordinate with equipment vendors to represent our client's interests ensuring design intent is met by performance of bid evaluations, drawing review and approval, and witness of factory acceptance testing.
Provide on-site support during construction and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
Write construction scope of work, equipment purchase specifications and data sheets.
Ensure manufacturing, construction, installation, and commissioning conform to functional specifications and customer requirements.
Estimate labor, material, construction, and equipment costs for total installed cost estimates.
Bachelor of Science degree from ABET-accredited college or university engineering program
7-12 years power engineering experience.
Experience performing electrical analysis including modeling and studies using SKM Power Tools, ETAP, and/or EasyPower software systems.
Experience in project feasibility front-end engineering, scope development and estimating.
Professional engineering registration (P.E.) in the state of Texas.
Preferred Industry experience
