Join us as an Electronics Engineer, Command and Data Handling, Architect working on the of the (C&DH) hardware for satellites.

The Command and Data Handling (C&DH) Architect is responsible to lead a small team for establishing and providing processes, tools and engineering personnel to determine Space and Missile C&DH Electronics Architectures across all LOBs in LM Space. Create value oriented C&DH Subsystem solutions in collaboration with Advanced Programs (AP), Business Development (BD) and Engineering Centers of Excellence (COEs) organizations. Perform analysis to size spacecraft or missile C&DH subsystem. Knowledge logical topologies (Ring, Mesh, Star, Bus, etc ) in cabling and RF networking applications. Understanding of legacy, current and emerging internal and external data bus such as MIL-STD-1553, SpaceWire (IEEE1355 based), Mil-FireWire (MIL IEEE 1394), Time-Triggered Ethernet, compact Peripherical Component Interconnect (cPCI), SpaceVpx, etc... Knowledge of current radiation tolerant/hard processor and memory technologies and their usage in space and missile applications. Experience with space environment mitigation techniques.

Collaborate with the LOBs to develop, align and maintain roadmaps that leverage customer, internal and supplier investments to benefit LM program

YOU WILL ALSO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Processor architectures (PowerPC, Intel, ARM, SPARC, etc.).

Network bus architectures typically found in space or missile systems.

Development of electronics architecture for space and missile systems.

Estimate major C&DH parameters (I/O quantity and type, overall size, weight, power and cost).

20 - 30+ years of professional experience for this role.

This position requires you to be a US Citizen.

Active Secret Clearance, thus you are a US Citizen.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.

Experience of bus architectures typically found in space or missile systems.

Experience in a project management role.

Active Secret Clearance.
Desired Skills:
Ability to estimate major C&DH parameters (I/O quantity and type, overall size, weight, power and cost)
Understanding of processor architectures (PowerPC, Intel, ARM, SPARC, etc.).
Previous or current Certified Product Engineer (CPE) or equivalent experience
PSPICE, Saber, or other electronics simulation tool experience
Excellent presentation, oral and written skills.
Able to work effectively in a diverse team environment.
Demonstrated strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
Familiarity with failure investigation processes (fishbone analyses, etc.)
EMI/EMC design experience
Ability to understand electrical circuits, interfaces, and interconnect diagrams.
Familiarity with Spacecraft Bus Subsystems such as: Avionics, Power, GN&C, Thermal, RF Communications, Data Handling and Management, Telemetry and Commanding, Flight Harnessing, and Flight Software.
Technical experience in full life cycle development of hardware including design, integration, and test.
Ability to produce and present informal status briefings to Program Management and Customer.
Experienced with working in geographically diverse teams and interfacing with industry partners/subcontractors
