A tier 1 automotive client who is non-union is seeking an EHS Coordinator for their manufacturing plant. The person will be responsible for the daily coordination for Environmental Safety & Health Issues for the plant. Responsible for plant OSHA and EPA compliance, accident, reporting, and employee training. Maintain positive employee relations and strive towards a safe and environmentally sound workplace.
RESPONSIBILITIES:


Daily adherence of OSHA, EPA, and Company regulations and policies.

Prepare and write plant ESH policies and procedures.

Conduct new employee and refresher training as necessary.

Conduct daily plant audits for OSHA and EPA compliance.

Monitor internal accident investigations and reporting.

Audit and upkeep of plant safety equipment.

Assist with annual health testing.

Air monitoring and sampling.

Manage ISO 14001 as EMR (Environmental Management Representative)

Lead regular safety committee meetings.

Implement and follow up on action item list.

Assist with environment permitting, waste disposal and budgeting.

Other duties as assigned by the Corporate Director of Environmental Safety & Health & Risk Control

REQUIREMENTS:

Occupational Safety/Health or Environmental Degree preferred, or equivalent education or experience.

Background working in a manufacturing environment.

Understanding of OSHA and EPA regulations.

ISO 14001experience preferred.
