The Nuclear Medicine Technician performs imaging utilizing the appropriate equipment for the purpose of diagnosis and treatment planning with regards to patient care. The incumbent demonstrates competency in skills necessary to care for patients served. Graduate of an AMA-Nuclear Medicine Program.Acceptable certifications include ARRT and CNMT. Competent to perform multiple types of Nuclear Procedures Imaging involving Emergency Room Patients, surgical patients, inpatients and outpatients. Good technical and communication skills required. Ability to work with all levels from staff to physicians. Ability to triage quickly in a fast paced work environment. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Vocational diploma from an AMA approved radiologic technology program And Over 6 months to 1 year Nuclear Medicine experience required Associate's Degree from an AMA approved radiologic technology program And Over 1 year to 3 years experience as an Imaging Services Technologist preferred SKILLS AND ABILITIES: - Ability to make quality, independent decisions, required - Demonstrated written communication skills, required - Strong verbal communication and listening skills, required - Effective interpersonal skills, required - Service-oriented, required - Demonstrated time management and priority setting skills, required LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS: Nuclear Med Technologist Certification, Upon hire, required Basic Life Support (BLS), Upon hire, required Associated topics: emergency room, ems, emt b, emt i, medic, paramedic, service technician, technician i, technician ii, technician iv
