Global Engineering & Technology (GET) is seeking a highly qualified individual for the position of Nuclear Technology Analyst Instructor & Trainer to support the United States Department of Energy's Office of Classification in Germantown, Maryland.
This is a highly compensated position with principal work location being the Department of Energy facility in Germantown, Maryland. Relocation assistance is provided.
This key individual develops and prepares Department of Energy (DOE) training materials in highly technical scientific subject areas relating to work performed by our team of Classification Analysts, Declassification Analysts, and nuclear technology Subject Matter Experts. Subject areas include nuclear weapon design, nuclear weapon material production, radiological emergency response, and safeguards and security of nuclear weapons and special nuclear material.
The Analyst Instructor & Trainer also conducts training on classification and sensitive information policies, guidelines, and procedures for the greater DOE community including the national laboratories and national security sites.
The principal policy environment and instructional focus of this position corresponds to Protection of Unclassified Controlled Nuclear Information (10 CFR 1017), Nuclear Classification and Declassification (10 CFR 1045), Classified National Security Information (EO 13526), Department of Energy Orders relating to the Identification and Protection of Unclassified Controlled Nuclear Information (DOE Order 471.1B) and Identifying Classification Information (DOE O 475.2B).
Although all applicants with a background in nuclear weapons will be strongly considered, the ideal candidate would have recent classification/declassification experience and two (2) years of direct training experience, including experience with modern training techniques encompassing the development of course syllabuses, student evaluations, recognition of individual student requirements, and utilization of computer- based training systems.
The ideal candidate will be DOE qualified in Derivative Classification (DC), Derivative Declassification (DD), and as an Unclassified Controlled Nuclear Information Reviewing Official (UCNI RO).
This position requires a Bachelor s Degree from an accredited college or university in a scientific discipline; e.g., physical sciences, engineering, or mathematics. A Master s Degree is highly desirable.
This position requires a DOE Q or DOD Top Secret security clearance
