Role Summary:The North America Logistics Leader will have responsibility for Onshore Wind North America outbound logistics and transportation of material. This includes Planning & Forecasting, Warehousing Optimization and Fulfillment for the Onshore Wind North America Business.



Essential Responsibilities:As the North America Logistics Leader - Onshore Wind, you will:





+ Manage North America Logistics operations for sourcing, routing & delivery of $700M logistics buy for GE Renewable Energy Onshore Wind North America



+ Be responsible for all transportation operations, pricing, savings methodology and business buy-in for savings



+ Partner with key stakeholders to ensure carrier capacity meetings business growth and volume targets



+ People Leadership responsibility for Logistics organization



+ Drive logistics strategy for Onshore Wind North America including 3PL logistics management, Carrier Safety Programs, and Freight Payment Process Improvement



+ Direct management of logistics functions: lead an organization that executes an internal third-party logistics services for Onshore Wind NAM to ensure processes are in place to meet fulfillment in most cost-effective manner



+ Develop optimum logistics model to drive the most efficient flow of materials and products



+ Pursue logistics functional excellence in all areas, incorporating both 'inbound and outbound' activities by developing creative, cost-conscious solutions



+ Utilize commercial and logistics as a competitive advantage for the business



+ Develop and achieve all financial and operational targets



+ Manage all transport negotiations, contract management, and carrier relations



+ Develop and improve carrier performance in EHS and quality through robust QMS program



+ Create strong operating rhythms; improve performance with visible metrics & standardized practices





Qualifications/Requirements:



+ Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, Manufacturing, or Engineering



+ Minimum of 7 years of Logistics, Manufacturing, and/or Sourcing experience



+ Minimum of 5 years of Leadership experience

+ Prior Onshore Wind experience



+ Business process / program ownership experience



+ Proven leadership and facilitation skills



+ Strong financial planning, analytical and critical-thinking skills



+ Customer-focused and results-oriented mindset



+ Ability to communicate & collaborate effectively at all levels



+ Ability to work, motivate and influence in a cross-functional, multi-site, global team environment



+ BB / MBB certified (GE employees only)
