Principal Activities and Responsibilities: Performs all electrical maintenance including but not limited to preventive, corrective, emergency, contracted, warranty service, etc., throughout the plant. Conducts predictive analysis of all electrical and instrumentation systems and equipment periodically in order to update PM system and generate work orders. Identifies, repairs and documents electrical equipment malfunctions. Calibrates mechanical and electrical instrumentation and documents results. Ensures completion of work orders based on schedule and priority or as required. Monitors equipment on a regular basis and documents results. Installs and tests new equipment in accordance with standard safety procedures. Trains new employees on standard safety and operating procedures, as required. Supports all Maintenance and as well all Operations policies and procedures. Be on call 24 hours/day. Oversees the safety and training of assigned personnel.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 4 + years experience with power generating equipment, switch gears and distributor equipment, motors, controllers, etc. Supervisory experience preferred. Knowledge of appropriate electrical and instrumentation theory and technology, and standard operating and safety procedures. Ability to read and understand technical manuals, blueprints and schematics. Excellent manual dexterity, allowing for the repair of prevision equipment in awkward locations and positions to maintain safety procedures at all times to reduce the opportunity for hazards to others equipment, and self. Ability to exercise independent judgment regarding appropriate trouble-shooting activities. Able to work in varying conditions of heat, dust, noise, smoke and vibrations.
Licenses and Education: Associate Degree or equivalent industrial experience of 3-5 years in the Instrument and Controls field.
