  • Full-time employment - 37.5 hour/week; 7 day/week operations; may work weekends, holidays, & varying shifts
  • This position is responsible for the maintenance, inspection & emissions testing, and making or arranging for repairs to all vehicles and equipment at Hickory Run State Park Complex. While working as part of the Hickory Run State Park team, you'll be repairing, inspecting and maintaining vehicles located throughout the complex including Hickory Run, Lehigh Gorge, and Nescopeck State Parks. The employee in this position will also be performing PA State Inspections and Emissions testing on park vehicles as required. Vehicles and equipment in the fleet are mainly gasoline powered, however, the may be occasional work required on diesel vehicles.

  • Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: four years of experience inthe automotive mechanic trade; or completion of an approved apprenticeship; or any combination of experience and training which provides the requiredknowledges, skills, and abilities.

  • NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Using agency may require employee to hold a current and valid Pennsylvania driver's license of the class appropriate to the vehicle operated and supplemented by the endorsements required by law for operation of specific equipment, in order to meet operational needs. Using agency may also require employee to be a Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Certified Inspection Mechanic for the class of vehicle used in the agency.
