Great organization is looking for a Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator to joing their growing organization. Our client has an exciting opportunity for an individual who has a strong passion for safety and a knack for creating a safety culture that is world class. You will be support all aspects of the safety, health, and environmental programs to ensure that workers practice safe working techniques and promote a safe working environment. Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and lead safety meetings with manufacturing on a weekly basis.
  • Act as liaison for bi-weekly corporate safety meeting.
  • Facilitate and lead internal safety team meetings.
  • Work with appropriate personnel to complete safety gap analyses.
  • Maintain and update all safety policies.
  • Inspect equipment and processes as required to ensure regulatory and safety compliance.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing on all projects to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Facilitate and plan safety training for new and existing employees.
  • Ensure contractor personnel working on the property follow policies and procedures.
  • Maintain Hazard Communication Policy and Safety Data Sheet database.
  • Ensure inspections by regulatory agencies are coordinated and correct non-conformance.
  • Observe possible safety issues immediately reporting behavior that might be considered dangerous to oneself or others.
  • Investigate and report incidents and near-misses. Conduct audits and manage corrective actions.
  • Provide support for all EHS regulatory reporting requirements including taking readings and managing reports.
  • Work with manufacturing to ensure the plant meets all environmental EHS requirements.
  • Work with manufacturing to ensure all GMPs are up to date and meet standards.
  • Any other duty duties assigned by your supervisor.

Education and Training Requirements

  • A minimum of 4-year degree in a technical or related field.
  • Three plus years of experience required.
