Job Summary:
Client is a full-service civil engineering firm in North Carolina with locations in Wilmington, Raleigh, Charlotte, and Bell Haven focused on Employee Satisfaction, Operational Excellence, and Client Satisfaction.
This position works directly with other Project Managers, engineers, technicians and surveyors to lead in the development of permitting and construction documents for a variety of engineering projects including water and wastewater utilities, stormwater, erosion control, site development, roadway, greenway, and flood control. Responsibilities will also include bidding and construction management of public projects, developing engineering proposals, client management, marketing, and the acquisition of new clients.

Essential Functions:
Management of clients and project teams.
Assist with and/or lead the planning, designing, permitting and coordination of projects.
Researches and implements regulatory agency design requirements.
Participate in preparing and managing project budgets and schedules.
Development of contract, specification, and bid documents for projects.
Construction administration and inspection.
Participate and/or lead public meetings.
Focuses on quality and helps ensure QA/QC procedures are followed.
Marketing/Business Development.
Additional Responsibilities:
Conform in all respects with applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations, ordinances and other orders and to all company policies, procedures and directives from supervisors.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by management.
Machines, Tools and Equipment:
Operate standard office equipment (i.e., personal computer, facsimile, copy machine, etc.).
Working Conditions:
Work in indoor office environment 80% of the time.
Work in construction site environment 20% of the time.
Moderate noise level.
Travel via automobile on occasion as needed.
Education, Training, Experience and Licensing/Certification Requirements:
Degree in Civil Engineering required.
At least 20+ years of experience on various utility projects.
Registered Professional Engineer in North Carolina required, or ability to obtain NC license within six (6) months.
Specific project management and design experience required includes water and wastewater utilities.
Experience with technical software including AutoCad Civil 3D, Hydraflow, StormSewers/hydrographs, Pondpack, HydroCAD, SewerGems. and WaterCAD.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
Must communicate well with others.
Must be able to work independently and manage time wisely.
Ability to report and communicate in writing.
Ability to perform standard survey activities a strong plus.
Physical/Mental Demands:
Talk, hear, use hands and fingers to handle or feel, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach.
Ability to lift/push/pull up to 25 pounds occasionally.
